Defined-scope projects with a defined price.

Some problems don’t need a retainer — they need a fix. Cash-to-accrual conversions, accounting system cleanups and migrations, internal controls, audit readiness: scoped in writing, priced in advance, finished on a date.

Projects we take on

  • Accounting & banking health check. Our tiered self-assessment followed by a working session and a prioritized Findings & Recommendations report — specific gaps, the risk each carries, and a sequenced plan to close them. The natural first project.
  • Catch-up & cleanup bookkeeping. Months or years of backlog reconstructed, reconciled, and closed — with a clean handoff to monthly service.
  • Cash-to-accrual conversions. Books restated so they reflect economic reality — usually the prerequisite for serious lending, bonding, or a sale.
  • System cleanups & migrations. Chart-of-accounts redesign, QuickBooks cleanups, and platform migrations executed without interrupting operations. Our team has led ERP migrations at $600M scale.
  • Internal controls & fraud-exposure remediation. Segregation of duties, approval matrices, wire and vendor-change controls, and the compensating controls small teams actually can run.
  • Audit readiness. Reconciliations, documentation, and schedules prepared so your auditor’s fieldwork is short — and their invoice is too.

How it works

1. Diagnose. Intro call plus, where useful, the self-assessment. 2. Scope. A written statement of work: deliverables, timeline, price. 3. Deliver. The work is done, documented, and handed off — with training for whoever maintains it.

How we charge

Every project is fixed scope, fixed price — quoted in writing before we start. If we discover the scope was bigger than either of us knew, we tell you before spending your money, not after.

Frequently asked questions

What does a typical project cost?

It depends entirely on scope — a health check is a different animal from a two-year cleanup. What we promise: a written fixed price before we start, and no surprise invoices.

Can a project turn into ongoing service?

Often it should — a cleanup without maintenance decays. Many clients move from a project to a monthly retainer; there’s never an obligation to.
